ABOUT THE ARTIST
HUDSON HARRIS
ARTIST | OWNER
My name is Hudson Harris. I am a Dallas, Texas native and current resident. My art endeavors started extremely young. I exhibited all of the typical traits of a bored, creative type through my childhood and education. Every note I took in school had mindless doodles and all of the creative projects brought out the the side of me considered “Type A”. I always thought it was important to make presentations equally informative and aesthetic.
I developed these creative tendencies through a particular interest in wildstyle graffiti and 3D abstract street art. As a kid from the suburbs I never once felt out of place watching videos about the roots of graffiti, hip-hop culture, or breakdancing. I make no claim to be an ambassador to the hip-hop community or graffiti landscape, but I owe all of my desire to grow as an artist to that culture. As my horizons broadened (through time, age, and exposure to new ideas) my interest for this style never waned, but new artistic concepts began to creep in: Realism, architecture, and ink styles (among many others) all hold real estate in my head.
“Through this company, I hope to share my passion of art, design, and the value of craftsmanship with the world around me.”
However, despite my growing interests, life moved forward and I felt a responsibility to put art on the back-burner. I went on to attend Texas A&M University where I graduated with a job in-hand. For the next 9 years, and into present time, I have worked as a construction manager for a large commercial contractor and learned some of the most valuable lessons of my life: One of which is the value of our craftsmen and craftswomen that make our modern world a reality. It was this lesson that produced the final layer of what drove Blue Art Studio Company into its current form.
For the majority of my life, my art only existed as a personal interest known to close friends and family. Now, I am proud to utilize Blue Art Studio Company as a bridge for all things creative in the world of art, design, architecture, and craftsmanship. To everyone interested in Blue Art Studio Company, I can’t thank you enough. And, as always, Stay Creative.
